Sixty 31st Avenue, San Mateo, CA 94403 | (650) 532-1022
CLOSED THROUGH APRIL 8

During these challenging times, we are reminded that nothing is more important than preserving our collective community health and welfare.

As you may be aware, six Bay Area jurisdictions including San Mateo County have ordered residents to “shelter in place” starting at midnight on Tuesday, March 17 and continuing after April 8, 2020, unless otherwise mandated by government health officials. The only businesses allowed to remain open are essential services including grocery stores, banks, restaurants (for takeout and delivery only), gas stations and pharmacies. This “shelter in place” order is temporary but critical in doing our part to help stop the rapid spread of COVID-19.

In compliance with this order, Hillsdale Shopping Center will be closed unless otherwise mandated by government health officials. Hillsdale Shopping Center’s ‘essential services’ – our restaurants, banks and Trader Joe’s – are still here to serve you, and are employing social distancing measures and all other emerging standards for optimal safety. I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to maintain a small piece of ‘normal’ in your daily life.

I know that for many of you, Hillsdale Shopping Center has long been a source of community, of interaction, of entertainment, of belonging. It is a relationship we hold in the highest regard, and serving you is our greatest honor. We will let you know as soon as we hear we can reopen our doors.

After 80 years, we at Hillsdale have seen first-hand the resilience and the strength of our community, which is no greater than when we work together. With patience, with compassion, with steady communication, and with a collective effort to put the community first, we will get through this, and come together again hopefully very soon.

Best wishes for your ongoing health.
